North Star is no stranger to the local boating public, she featured as a media center for reporters and journalists on multiple Americas cup regattas, on the Auckland Haruaki Gulf. Having been designed by the esteemed group of Warwick Yacht Design, then the drawings went to arguably New Zealand's top yacht builders, Salthouse Boat Builders of Greenhithe Auckland. Powered by a pair of 1350hp Caterpillar diesels she makes a great clip of speed getting up close to 23kn, at 9 knots you are only consuming 8ltr per N/Mile.

North Star has accommodation in four double cabins the two master cabins feature ensuite bathrooms with showers the other two double cabins have day heads with showers, one of these double cabins features two double beds. The main saloon has luxurious seating for 20 guests, the galley is aft and features the latest appliances. Upstairs in the command bridge there is seating for 10 and a wet bar with fridge. Out in the cockpit is seating for 10 adults around a beautiful polished teak timber table, while close by is a large fridge and icemaker.

North Star has been to the islands and will go into Cat one easily and comes with a comprehensive safety and spares package. She has the latest Garmin electronics package for communication and navigation. Weber Marine have done complete refit including, new interior and an exterior repaint paint. Weber Marine continue to maintain North Star.
