In 2004, Mavis underwent an extensive rebuild, which included splining the original Kauri hull and overhauling the engineering, she is powered by a late-model, low hour John Deere diesel, cruising at 9 knots.
Her generous walk around decks and side door at the helm make berthing simple and stress free. While accommodation is minimal, but there is an outside toilet and shower area on the aft deck. There is plenty of storage room in both aft and forward holds.
